GOOD MORNING MISSION HILL
the freedom to teach the freedom to learn
It’s high time to rethink what equity looks like in schooling and buck the notion that children from low income urban neighborhoods need regimented, standardized, “back to basics” approaches!
GOOD MORNING MISSION HILL began playing on public TV stations in August of 2014.
While content from the internet series that preceded it is included in GOOD MORNING MISSION HILL, the hour long format has allowed us to elaborate and personalize further the themes touched on in A YEAR AT MISSION HILL.
The country continues to struggle over “achievement gaps,” social and economic inequalities, and the need for the next generation to be creative problem solvers. We think GOOD MORNING MISSION HILL, will build viewers’ understanding of how urban public schools, so often portrayed as having intractable issues, can meet these challenges joyfully!
